Report: Henry
Puskala reported. Webelos will be at the next troop meeting. Upcoming meetings:
3/15, lashings; 3/22, no meeting; 3/29 safe food handling (Dragon patrol) and
kickball. Henry brought up Junior Leader College for scouts April 3. Jim will
do a signup sheet for the next troop meeting. Steve suggested leaders come
to the meeting early and get signed up. Cost is $12 and scholarships are
available.
Eagle
Court of Honor:
Andy Leibel’s Eagle COH will be May 16 at St. Jude. Mary will call Leibels
for specifics.
Minutes:

Scoutmaster
Report: Two
Eagle projects this past weekend went well. Chris Kuehn built shelving in the
Ministry Center. Alex Bryan built wood duck houses. Steve commended both and
welcomed Henry as SPL.
Roundtable
Report: Dennis
passed around fliers on Eagle Expos, Scout sport days. Interest was expressed in
Saints outing June 23; Steve suggested a scout or parent coordinate. Dennis said
Okpik is looking for summer staff. Steve added other camps are, too. Mary
will get info and publish in the newsletter.
Secretary:
Newsletter will be published with information from this month’s TC meeting.
Secretary position is up for grabs for anyone who wants it. Mary will put in
the newsletter.
Outings:
Tomahawk will be Aug. 7–14. Jim reported little interest so far in Schutzenfest
or Clayfest. Jim will have signups at next meeting. Crossover will be at
Shelter #2 at Fred C. Andersen.
Treasurer’s
Report:
FOS was over goal. Dennis said Dick Bartlett submitted his audit report with
recommendations for changes. Dennis passed out a reimbursement authorization
form he had drafted. Incoming scouts have scout accounts. Steve said it would be
good to start up accounts again. Dave noted the troop ledger program probably
has software for this. He thinks that currently scout accounts are being done by
hand. Dennis will talk to Steve Lindlof about the auditor’s
recommendations.
Pancake
Breakfast:
Adults met last week to plan. Bullheads are the lead patrol. Kelvin is getting
placemat sponsors. Bob is doing fliers. Signs at Triangle Park and the District
Center are already be reserved for the St. Jude school play. Bob will
investigate asking to share the signs. Bullheads met this evening to plan.
They liked the idea of selling tickets the week before at Masses and handing out
discount coupons at Festival. Committee agreed to do presales and coupons.
Jim will work with Dick to make this happen. Dick Bartlett will schedule
followup meetings for adults. Bullheads have a plan for further meetings.
Options were discussed for making things run smoothly with the school play
starting in the afternoon. Steve said we can shut down by 12:30 to accommodate.
Hoffs will call church to confirm May 2 and let Dick Bartlett
know.
Scouting
for Food:
Andrew Lindlof and Shane Schulte will run with Dennis as adult mentor. Date is
April 24.
Eagle
Projects:
Two were this weekend and two are in development. Steve emphasized the
importance of presenting a project to the troop committee before the district.
Tim Nipp’s paperwork is in.
Court
of Honor:
COH will be May 24. Webelos Woods will give incoming scouts the chance to earn
Boy Scout rank. Dennis noted planning the COH fulfills a requirement for
communication merit badge.
Equipment:
Will deal with Monday night.
Training:
Indoor adult leader training will be March 20 at Redeemer Lutheran. Outdoor
training will follow. Wyeth is the contact. Dave Puskala and Randi Trinka are
involved.
Webelos
Transition:
April 2, Fred C. Andersen. Troop will present scarves. .Overnighters leave 6-7
Friday. Others meet at breakfast 8-9 Saturday. Eleven boys are expected to cross
over. OA is planning ceremony.
Troop
Elections:
Henry and Andrew Lindlof were elected SPL and ASPL. OA elections were held.
Next Troop Committee meetings: April 5 and May 17, 7 p.m., Klein Ministry Center.
