1. 12/10 Meeting
a. Snow Sports Theme
i. 20 min skills –
1. Citizenship merit badges
2. Snow Sports merit badges
ii. Patrol meetings
1. Check books for missing rank advancement requirements that scouts could pair up and work on together.
2. Work on service project ideas in January.
3. Each Patrol Leader picked a patrol meeting location that will be used for their patrol meetings during the patrol breakout.
iii. Inter-patrol activity in the snow filling ice cream buckets in the snow.
1. Patrol leaders need to call patrol to remind them to wear outside clothes.
iv. The SPL would like the announcements to be pre-announced.
1. Scott B. indicated that most announcements should be sent out by email ahead of the troop meeting.
Wyeth mentioned the he feels the pre-opening should be 10 min, 6:45->6:55 with a 5 min transition. He also suggested that we move the opening to a classroom.
The meeting structure will be changing in Jan. to a 90-minute meeting.
2. 12/17 COH / Holiday Party
a. At Kathryn Abbot Park at 6:45 pm, setup at 6pm.
i. Ben would like a committee member pick up a member pick up the key to Kathryn Abbot. This will be announced next Monday, but it was suggested that Bob G. be contacted next Monday.
1. Pizza and Cookies at the holiday party?
a. The committee suggested that most families have already had supper before the PLC and that deserts would be more appropriate.
b. It was suggested that an email could be sent to have each family bring cookies or bars.
c. Dutch oven deserts??
d. Ben will talk to the PLC next Monday 12/10
ii. Steve W. suggested that we should leave next Mondays meeting with the flags. Wyeth suggested holiday songs.
1. PLC also talked about a slide show of the High Adventure.
3. The PLC will have a annual planning meeting, Saturday 12/9 from 7:30 pm -> 9pm at the Ark.
a. Steve K. will make the reservations for 7 -> 9pm if the ark is available.
4. The PLC will perform uniform inspection with prizes once a month.
5. Wyeth suggested a New Years Eve lock in at the Ark.
