Pancake Breakfast Report (Brad
Bartlet):
o
Brad
discussed the Pancake Breakfast status of each area of the planning. Everything appears to be on track for a
successful pancake breakfast.
Instead of the homemade French Toast, we’ll be trying a prepackaged
French Toast. Dennis L. needs to
supply a business card for the French Toast donation. From the past pancake breakfast we’ll
need 60 lbs of links, 40 lbs of cobosta, ~600 French Toast.
o
Isak
Vartti presented the bake sale idea to re-sale Grandma’s bakery goods at the
pancake breakfast. The proceeds
would be used to purchase new troop equipment. The committee brought up the idea to ask
for bakery goods donated by the parents of the troop then all of the proceeds
from the bake sale could be used to purchase equipment. The suggest donation will be two bake
items (pies, breads, cookies, ect.) per scout. Isak will make the announcements and
hand out flyers at the upcoming troop meetings.

·
Scouting for Food – We
need to coordinate with the other troops and packs in the area so we don’t
overlap pickup areas. In the past
we always received the best response when we went door to door instead of
dropping off bags to be filled.
Steve W. will contact T89 coordinator to ensure that we don’t overlap
areas.
Treasurer’s Report:
n
The
Treasure reported that we’re in good shape. There will be some coordination between
the Cub Scout accounts for the webelo transition to pay for the transition
fees.
n
The
pancake breakfast placement ads gave Steve $730.01 checks that Kelvin received
so far for the placement ads. Steve
also issued a check for $155.54 for the full color placemats. This cost is up from the ~$25 for the
black and white placemats of the past pancake breakfast.
Eagle Projects:
n
Carl Betlach completed
his Eagle.
n
The eagle plaque is
complete and looks good. Dennis
suggested that we could get some information about the older eagle scouts. Maybe we could incorporate this into a
dedication of the eagle plaque.
Deep Star Meeting:
n
A Deep Star meeting was held after
March 14 after a Troop Meeting to give the Star scouts information and coaching
for their eagle rank.
Webelo’s
Transition:
The
webelo’s crossed over into the Troop.
We need to ensure that all new scouts are registered with the troop. Boy Scout registration forms were given
to each patrol leader. The
registration forms will be given to Bob L. so he can add each boy to the troop
software and so the new families will receive their
newsletters.
Den
Chiefs:
There
will be new Webelos dens need some Den chiefs for next year. We need to get some Den Chief training
for the Den Chiefs available for the packs.
