1. Scoutmaster Minute Scott Betlach will give the scoutmaster minute.
n May 14 Aquatics theme. Tom Dosland will give the scoutmaster minute.
n May 21 Mary Libel will give the scoutmaster minute.

Tom D. mentioned that the PLC need to continue to focus on making it fun for the older scouts. This was a theme that was talked about at the PLC and they plan on making the meetings more fun.

n Camping Dates:
o Lee handed out a list of camping dates for the next year, that will be published later.
o Lee also needs to deposit $100 for the 2008 Tomahawk reservations.
o The 2007 Tomahawk is paid for this year.

o Lee mentioned that any adults willing to lead the 2008 Okpik and/or Snow base, contact Lee Hunt.
n High Adventure:
o Fred reported that the 2007 Tomahawk sea kayak had some cancellations. 8/12-17 for 10, $4250 crew fee, July 22-27, ½ crew available for 5 with $425/scout. Need to be at least 13 years old.
1. Dave P. reported that this is a great trip to take.
2. Fred K. will send a note out about these openings.
Advancement:
· Advancement The merit badge weekend added some more merit badge information. Bob L. needs the boys name, the merit badge earned and the date that it was earned.
· The COH will also recognize the new scouts that earned the Boy Scout Badge.
· Nick L. also earned an additional Palm. Paul H. will contact Nick and the recent eagles.
· It was agreed that the troop will pay for the recent eagles for the district dinner.
· Andrew L. has all of his eagle paperwork ready to go.
· Two other boys have talked to the Steve W. about eagle projects.
· Steve reminded the merit badge consolers to keep reminding the boys about where they stand in with the merit badges. Steve also asked to have all adult leaders to check with the scouts about advancement.
· Steve K. also indicated that the district has an Eagle project in Mahtomedi that could be used as an eagle project.
· The committee suggested that we should invite the two Eagles that still need COH to come to the June COH for a small Eagle COH.
Gray Wolf / Roundtable Report Steve Wiberg
n Three
boys were nominated to Gray Wolf and all three were
accepted. In the past
a letter has been sent to the Legion, Lions and the Knights of Columbus to see
if they could sponsor a scout for the cost of Leadership training, about $180. Fred K. will send out a letter.
n The
roundtable indicated that the district has two catamarans available to be used as for crews, but they need adults and crews to
staff them. This would be similar to a
Venture crew.
n
Pancake Breakfast:
n A pancake breakfast meeting will be this Thursday at the ark, 7-9:30 pm.
o Paul H. submitted an announcement for the Troop Pancake Breakfast in the church bulletin.
Scouting for Food:
n April 28, 9am -> 1pm. Steve mentioned that Shane Schulte has indicated that he wanted to lead the Scouting for Food. Steve will contact Shane and Fred will also ask Dennis L. to see if he can assist.
n The district also asked if we could hand out earth day flyers with the collecting for scouting for food.
n John Y. mentioned that we need to clean up the scout equipment in the ark garage before the spring play needs to use the space. Steve Frost will contact the past scout quartermaster for assistance on Thursday night during the pancake breakfast meeting. We need to get everything off the floor onto the shelves. If we run out of room, we will need to place some items in the troop trailer.
