TROOP 433 NEWS
FOR SCOUTS AND PARENTS
Andy
Leibel will be leading scouts in a Eagle project to improve Streetcar Park at
the corner of Tamarack and Quail Streets in Mahtomedi. Please join him for a
work day May 31, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Work will include creating a walking trail,
installing birdhouses, and planting a butterfly garden. Bring gloves, shovels,
and a wheelbarrow if you can. Rain date is June 14. For more information call
Andy at 429-6303.
Troop
elections were held May 12. Peter Hejny
was elected senior patrol leader and Mike Schwarz was elected assistant senior patrol leader.
Thanks
to all who supported BSA and our troop by contributing to the Friends of
Scouting campaign this year. We exceeded our goal with more than $2,800 in
contributions. That says a lot about
T433 and our commitment to scouting’s goals and values. Good job!
Thanks
to Tom Stangl, who is constructing a troop website at www.indianhead433.org. This will be a
great place for news, photos, etc. When
you click on Troop, you need to enter the user "public" and password
“doyourbest” until we decide what portions of the site need to be
secured. Suggestions are appreciated. Send them to webmaster@indianhead433.org
Thanks
to all who assisted with Marie Cravens’ service project. Marie is very
grateful. Thanks also to Chris Kuehn,
Jesse Lewis, and Ben Logan for participating in the ceremony for
National Endowment Tour of Boy Scouts of America May 8 at the St. Paul Hotel.
A
big thanks to St. Jude’s parishioners who donated footballs, basketballs, and
other sports equipment to the troop for use at meetings and outings. Check it
out at the next meeting.
