Troop 433 Pancake Breakfast, May 7, 8-12:30
Join us for the annual Troop 433 pancake breakfast. This is the troop’s only fundraiser so every scout needs to assist in some way. For more information on ways to help out at this years Pancake Breakfast contact Kyle Yarusso the Scout Coordinator, or Fred Koerschner the Adult Coordinator.
- There will be a Pancake Breakfast planning meeting for Scout and Adult Committee members on April 3 @ 6:45 at the Ark. Pizza will be served.
FOS – Friends of Scouting
Thanks to all who contributed to the success of the 2006 Friends of Scouting, with your help we exceeded our growth goal for the year.
Troop Court of Honor
Keep working on Rank Advancements and Merit Badges this winter. The next Troop Court of Honor will be on April 24 at 6:45 in Kohler Hall. Come and celebrate with all scouts who earned awards this winter.
Merit Badge’s
You can learn about sports, crafts, science, trades, business, and future careers as you earn these merit badges. There are more than 100 merit badges. Any Boy Scout may earn any merit badge at any time. You don't need to have had rank advancement to be eligible.
Merit Badge counselors inside or outside Troop 433 can be used. Attached is a list of the current Troop 433 merit badge. Contact Bob Libel for a list of district merit badge counselors.

Swimming Merit Badge
This merit badge takes advantage of the swimming program offered by the YMCA for the swimming requirements. Scouts interested in the swimming merit badge should contact Bob Leibel.
Hiking Merit Badge
Scouts working on the Hiking Merit Badge from last year have two hikes scheduled. Saturday April 22nd and May 6, meet at 9:00 am St.Jude parking lot.
District Events:
Schutzenfest, now called Trailblazers, Saturday April 15 (Easter weekend).
This is a Saturday only event. Lee Hunt handed out information at the 3/20 scout meeting. Contact Lee Hunt for additional details.
Scouting For Food, April 29
Scouting for Food is the Council’s annual Good Turn project to help collect food for the needy families in our communities. For more information contact the Scout coordinators, Ben Logan or Kyle Wiberg.
Attend STAR
FUN Day 2006, May 20
STARfun 2006 is the Northern Star Council SuperEvent at Valleyfair. Thousands of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, Girl Scouts, and their families will come together to celebrate the fun and excitement of Scouting. In addition our troop PLC has voted to Jamboree style camp at ValleyFair from May 19-21. For more information contact you Patrol Leader. The deadline to sign up is April 14.

The Troop 433 website has been given a facelift and contains new activity and contact information. Visit the site for the troop newsletter, troop committee minutes, merit badge contacts, and fun photos from outings. Be sure to bookmark the website for future reference.
Tomahawk 2006 on August 5 – 12.
Reserve your spot at Tomahawk with a $25 deposit returned it to Lee Hunt (either by mail or at a Troop Meeting).
High Adventure Camping
The troop is looking at some High Adventure camping for Scouts 14 years of age and 1st Class. Multiple possibilities are being looked into. A high adventure planning meeting is set for April 9th Sunday evening at 6:30pm at the Wiberg house, 76 Crocus St.
