St Jude’s Pancake Breakfast.

Thanks to all who helped make St. Jude’s Pancake Breakfast a success.  All proceeds from this pancake breakfast go to St Jude Church. 

 

Friends of Scouting Campaign begins!

Pledge cards, brochures, and stamped return envelopes are enclosed with this newsletter.   See the FOS letter for details.  Help keep up the proud Troop 433 tradition of generous support for our boys and other area scouts.  Remember to include any employer matching gifts. 

 

Troop Court of Honor

The winter Troop Court of Honor is on January 23 at 6:45 in Kohler Hall.  Come and celebrate with all scouts who earned awards this fall.  

 

Swimming Merit Badge

Scouts interested in the swimming merit badge starting in January should contact Bob Leibel.  This merit badge includes swim times on Sundays at the YMCA pool.

Snow Sports Merit Badge

Scouts interested in the snow sports merit badge should contact Steve Wiberg.  This merit badge opportunity will be held February 19 at Trollhaugen ski hill in Dresser, WI for skiing or snowboarding.

 

Okpik Winter Camping

Plan on winter camping at Okpik this winter.  The troop will be leaving on the morning of Friday February 24.  Sign up at the Troop meetings before Jan 1.  Contact Lee Hunt for additional details.             

 

District Events:

Klondike/Ice Fishing Derby, February 4

Second Annual All-Manitou District Scouting (Cubs and Boy Scouts) Ice Fishing and Klondike Derby.

District Merit Badge Day, February 11

This merit badge day will be held at St. Joseph Church in Lino Lakes.   This is a great way to earn merit badges.   Some merit badges need to started before the merit badge day.

Boy Scout Days at Trollhaugen, February 5 and March 5

Trollhaugen will be hosting a scout ski day on February 5 and March 5.  The cost is $13 which includes a lift ticket, hot dog and soda.  Advance reservations are needed six days before the ski day.  Contact you patrol / senior patrol leaders for details.

Ripley Rendezvous, April 21-23

Camp Ripley is hosting a scout camping weekend.  In addition to the normal Ripley Rendezvous, scouts 15 & Older can sign up for the X-Treme Challenge which is a co-ed high adventure program for young adults who are physically fit and looking for a challenge.
