Election Results

Elections were held March 1. Congratulations to Henry Puskala,  new senior patrol leader, and Andrew Lindlof, new assistant senior patrol leader.

 

Eagle Projects a Big Success

Two scouts completed Eagle projects this month. Chris Kuehn built shelving at St.Jude’s. Alex Bryan built and installed 10 wood duck houses. Job well done by all scouts involved!

 

Crossover Campout

Webelos crossover will be at a Fred C. Andersen campout  (shelter #2) April 2–3. All scouts are encouraged to attend. Come Saturday morning if you can’t make the overnight.

 

Food Drive

The spring Scouting for Food drive will be April 24. Scouts Andrew Lindlof and Shane Schulte are coordinating and Dennis Lindeke  is serving as adult mentor.

 

Eagle Court of Honor

Andy Leibel’s Eagle Court of Honor will be May 16, 6:30 p.m., at St. Jude’s. All scouts, adult leaders, and parents are invited to celebrate with Andy and his family.

 

Troop Court of Honor

The next troop court of honor will be May 24. A scout is needed to coordinate the ceremony. Talk to Steve Wiberg, 429-7914, to volunteer.

 

Junior Leader College

Scouts, learn lifelong leadership skills at Junior Leader College. The college will be April 3 at St. Thomas Academy. Sign up at the troop meeting.

 

Time for Pancakes

Our spring fund-raiser pancake breakfast will be May 2. Dick Bartlett and the Bullhead Patrol are in charge. Parents, we need your help! Contact Dick at 779-0607 to volunteer.

 

Thank You, Friends of Scouting

Thanks to all who contributed to the 2003–­04 Friends of Scouting campaign.  Troop 433 was one of the shining stars in the district, with a total of $3,800 in contributions.

 

Eagle Expo

Star and Life Scouts and their parents are invited to an Eagle Expo April 29, 6:45–8:30  at Guardian Angels Church in Oakdale. This is a great way to learn about earning your Eagle.

 

Be a Camp Counselor

Northern Tier High Adventure camp in Ely is hiring camp counselors. For more information see www.ntier.org. There are also openings for counselors and counselors-in-training at Indianhead Council summer camps. Contact Jim Schwieger, 651-254-9138.

 

Scout Night With the Saints

Scout Night with the St. Paul Saints is June 23. The $15 fee includes  admission,  food, and more.  Willing to organize this outing? Call Jim Greene, 653-7558, to volunteer.

Sign up at the next troop meeting for Schutzenfest shooting sports festival April 17.

Congratulations!

To the Troop 433 scouts and adults who earned Zero Hero awards camping out in –29 degree weather  at Okpik 2004. Congratulations also to Pack 433 Webelos, who took the honors at Klondike Derby this year.
